Apologies if not. So I decided (well thought) my ethernet device was playing up or going slower than normal. I uninstalled the drivers thinking uninstall reboot reinstall the drivers fine except.................now my ethernet device can't be found at all. I know it's a realtek. I have looked at the back of the machine it is lighting so it is working but can't be detected when I try to install the drivers for it

Saying something about (when trying to install) The realtek network controller was not found If deep sleep mode is enabled (which I know it ain't) Please plug the cable but cable is plugged in. Was working fine to I uninstalled. Weird

Have you tried both the drivers from Asus:

and the drivers from Realtek's site

Both of them. Both saying same thing. UNLESS it's just good old windows having a issue and a restart needed. I did notice I was getting some NETIO.sys BSOD'S wonder if it's that that's caused the issue
