Hi,

Having a strange issue with my set-up atm wonder if anyone knows what's causing it.

I'm running a Ga-P35dS3R with a e2160 that's 'been' clocked @ 3ghz for about six months.

About a week ago my system started booting with no post beeps what so ever and i noticed when this occured the CPU info on the screen i.e. "2160 @ 3.00Mhz" was missing (rest of info was there). The computer would boot up and be functional even with-out the post beep.

I've tried pulling the battery out for a while and also various Bios flashes but this strange problem still persists.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I never checked if the overclock was there during a 'non-beep' post because as soon as I realized it booted with no beep or cpu info, I'd restart the machine. On restart and receiving a normal boot sequence the over-clock would remain yes.

I wouldn't worry about it tbh. It would have lost the overclock if anything was wrong.

The next time this happens I'll check to see if it remains over-clocked on one of the 'dodgy' boots.

Thanks.
