Strange Over Heating

Having strange over heating problem , i can leave my Dell laptop on all day and copy dvds no problem and temps are around 45 to 60 . . Soon as i start to watch app ( IPTV ) the over heating starts and the fans go into over drive , i don`t really understand why ?

Copying DVDs is low stress on the CPU but streaming and likely outputting in HD is putting lots of stress on the CPU?

Probably due a repaste.
