Strange overclocking problem??

Hey Guys,

My Setup is -

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego @ 2.42Ghz (220x11)
MSI neo2 K8T mobo (939)
Ati Radeon X800 Pro
1GB DDR400 Geil Value RAM PC3200

ok, so my RAM frequency is running at 110Mhz, i know this should be higher
so i put the Mem. Divider on 166(DDR333) to get it to 172Mhz and after Post i get a black screen?!

what could be happening and can anyone help me?

try getting upping ** mem voltage to 2.7 which is perfectly safe!

Try upping the cpu and chipset volts a tad

Increase your cpu voltage.

First of all, you should not be using cool n quiet whilst attempting ANY overclock, disable it. Clear cmos, switch psu off at the back before doing so. Load optimised defaults in bios and start again. Remember, no cool n quiet. Going over 1.6 volts on a san diego wouldnt be wise either. 2.4 should be easily achieved on the 3700+ ( i have the same cpu ) on stock volts, regardless of stepping.
