Hi guy's. I have a weird problem with my rig (in siggy). I cannot go 1mhz over 400 fsb with the current set up. I know this board can do at least 520 as i did it with a C0 E8500 that i got to 4.5Ghz. For the past 8 months or so it has been running at 9x400 with my E6600 although it would also do 8x450. It also did 8x450 with a Q6600. I have flashed to the latest bios (1003) and reset cmos and then re-entered all my settings. I don't think it's the cpu as it does 3.8Ghz (9.5x400) on stock volts. If i go 1mhz over it will not boot at all. I have tried dropping the multiplier and had the same results. It's nothing to do with temps as they are extremely low, even when running Orthos my watercooling tubes are stone cold. The sensors on the cpu are stuck so they read 38 degrees at idle and will not show a change until it passes that temp (same as my E5200). My 4870 is idling at 23 degrees!! I have tried everything i can think of (increasing NB/SB voltage and all the other settings) but am stuck at a miserable 3.8Ghz. I have all the latest drivers etc and am on XP SP3 with all updates.
Does anybody have any ideas before i go out and buy a P45 board to try?
