Hello guys, not sure where to put this so ill stick in here :)

Firstly my PC is water cooled and is about 5 months old. One rad EX360 at top.

I've been playing Fallout 4 for 4 hours today and have noticed a strange sound coming from the top of my PC, hard to describe but its like a buzzing/clicking sound. The strange thing is when the PC isn't doing anything intensive the sound goes away but after 20min fallout 4 the sound comes back.

I have checked for any leaks and couldn't find any so i have no idea, could be the fans? although there on a fan controller at 900rpm so I am pretty clueless. Also the air coming out the rad is very hot.

Could be coil whine also??

Thanks!

Have you tried looking for anything caught in the fan. Or any loose fittings, screws etc. Vibration and heat can loosen things.
Also fans can fail and at higher speed will make extra noise.

Yeah don't think it's the fans. Either psu or gpu whine I reckon. Locked fps to 60 fps see I'd that helps.

One of my fans is a little rattly. Load up furmark or 3d mark/valley bench v-sync off. That will load the PSU and GPU straight away. If it starts then its most likely coil whine but make a paper cone and listen in certain parts of the case. That will give you a good inclination of what it is.

It could be a fan, one of mine rattles a bit when at a certain speed. If it is just stop them in the centre one by one until the noise goes away.

Well i capped fallout 4 to 60fps and seemed to have resolve the problem :) 3 hours and no noise.
