Hello Everyone,

Built myself a Server this afternoon, but I'm having some problems:

Spec:

Coolmaster Elite 330 Case
FSP Zen 300 silent PSU - FSP300-60GNF (Passive)
Biostar MATX T-Force 6100-939
Athlon 64 3200
Artic Freezer 64
Samsung 250gb SATA2 HDD

The PC Powers on fine without the HDD Connected, POSTs, can run Memtest etc...

BUT when connecting up the Samsung SATA 2 HDD it comes on for a second before cutting out like its shorting

Tried HDD In another PC nps, tried an Old IDE HDD in this PC nps, tried a Raptor in this PC nps....

But It does not like the Sammy

I have even tried it on a Molex SATA Power Connector rather than using the PSU one.

Any idea? I really need the sammy to work as it got to be quiet :(

I can't see whats wrong with this!

have you checked all the master/slave properties of the drives?

Try removing the small white jumper on the rear of the hd. I think when it's on, it will be transfer speed 150, and off, 300. There ain't any master/slave jumpers on sata drives.
