Strange Power Button Problem

Hey all I have a strange problem with my power button (seems limited to this anyway but may be something else) When I power down my computer with the power button (that shuts the computer down normally not insta-off) instead of the shutdown command on the start menu whenever I power up my computer the next time I get a dialogue box from the BIOS saying that it detected a boot problem and gives me the option of loading optimized defaults or enterting the BIOS.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard and I am guessing it's something to do with the dual BIOS that is causing this? Or have I wired up my power button incorrectly? The power button header on my HAF932 case comes in a block rather than individual wires so would the power button still work if the + and -'s were wired up improperly and could be causing this false boot failure option?

When I select the Enter BIOS option and just close it without changing anything Windows boots normally like nothing is wrong...

Oh and in case it makes a difference I have a Crucial M4 128GB SSD

Cheers all!
