One of the guys from work has a problem with his 98 primera P11. His car nearly every time he stops it and remove the key it looses all batt power to the car, no digital display no central locking nothing at all. If he leaves it for a while and moves the key around in the ignition it some times comes back to life. Once started its fine no signs of alternator failure/batt problems, its only when it switches off he has a problem. I thought it may be igniton barrel but wouldnt all the other systems still be on such as the digital clock, central locking still work if there was an issue with the barrel. Some have mentioned it could be the ECU/imobiliser but surely again this wouldnt cause all systems to lose power? I think there may be some earthing problem between possibly the batt and the main fuse box. Im a bit confused lol Any ideas ?
