Strange problem after playing Colin McRae - Dirt

Hello I play Colin McRae Dirt at a resolution lower than my monitor's native res (which is 1600x1200). When I quit the game, my desktop ends up looking like this, with the background and icons all squashed into the corner. It's easy to fix by restarting, but this is a hassle. Anyone know what's going on here?

Have you got an Nvidia card? Not sure coz I've never had it, but it looks like it could be a problem that was apparently fixed with latest drivers. Not sure though.

Yes it's an 8800GT. Let me check to see if there are newer drivers (I believe I currently have 169.25 for Vista - although that number might be completely wrong).

Assuming your running 32-bit, you've got the latest. Do a search on the graphics card forum, there was definately chat about a similar issue.
