Strange problem in Crysis (Steam)

I bought the multi-pack on steam yesterday and am having a strange problem when trying to run the first Crysis game.

The game loads up to the menu screen but the mouse location is mismatched to where you are hovering it. I thought this could be a resolution problem but I am unable to select the graphics tab.

I have used the keyboard to work through the menus and selecting 720p or 1080p with full screen brings up this mouse mismatch problem. Running in 800*600 windowed makes the mouse work as normal?

I have tried editing the config file as recommended on the steam forums but the game ignores it and resets the resolution to default.

I have deleted and am re-downloading it now but has anyone come across this before.

Spec:
Pentium DC 2.93
Asus P5Q-EM
2GB Kingston HyperX
4670
37" 1080P LCD

Managed to get this working by setting the display colour in control panel to 16bit. Load up the game, choose the right settings and whilst playing the game, alt-tab out and set back to 32bit.

Alt-tab back in and it works fine. Quite an annoying problem though as you have to do this every time you start the game. Not sure why the above method would solve the problem anyway, unless its just a bug in the game.

It would seem that my problems were due to me using high DPI scaling so that I could read text on my LCD TV.

For games that display incorrectly due to the high DPI scaling, you need to find the games exe, right click on it and select the compatibility tab, in there is a option to ignore DPI scaling.

Doom3 was the other game that was giving me problems and now both Doom3 and Crysis work as they should do. Must be a case of lazy programming to not take DPI scaling into account.
