Strange problem installing XP

I'm trying to install XP Pro onto a 250GB Hitachi SATA drive.
I load the Si3112 drivers from floppy during setup by pressing F6, format the HDD and start setup. When XP has finishes copying files and reboots it does not recognise the HDD and hangs on the "Press any key to boot from CD" screen. When the PC is booting the HDD is seen on the BIOS screen but if I enter the BIOS and look under boot devices it is not there.
I am using a silicon Image SATA PCI Card and if I boot into Vista on the same PC I can see my 250GB Hitachi
Any help appreciated
Brian

The boot sequence is CD-HDD. i must say however i did not remove the floppy from the drive so I will give that a go. Admiraa huddy i will try telling the BIOS it is a single SATA drive

I pressed F4 and it is set for a single drive I really cannot understand what is causing this. The drive was checked on another PC and windows installed OK

The options in the RAID BIOS are
Create RAID set
Delete RAID set
Rebuild mirrored set
Resolve conficts
Low Level Format
The Hitachi drive is showing on this screen as 0PM with nothing on 1SM

I can get into the via Computer in Vista and the Windows setup files are on the disk
This is getting annoying
