Right so my shiny new computer is here ( E6600, 2GB of ram and a 8800 GTS making up the core of the build) and i installed my favourite game , unreal tournament 2k4. The problem is whenever i take screenshots or use the dumpframes command the screens are completely black in my screenshots folder. So far ive tried turning off AA, AF and downloading latest drivers.

Help please!

Screenshots taken ingame using F9 (or whatever you have set it to) don't work properly with Anti Aliasing on with nVidia cards.
Its annoying..

Just use fraps to take your screenshot and it will work fine.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried switching anti-aliasing off using nvidia control panel, but to avail.

What im actually trying to do is convert footage to avi from some demos, the ingame converter is painfully slow and it has to convert the whole demo.

From what i gather Fraps is not a bad alternative but it has a fraps "watermark" at the top of the screen and you cant record as much as you want. Any ideas for a free way round this?

The dumpframes are by far the best quality, very superior too Fraps.
You can set your FPS to 60 etc. You can convert those files to many different formats... Xvid x264 etc. Do some research into it.
I stumbled on a "how to" guide on the UT04 official forums... have a look around, im sure you will find what your looking for.

Well i think i stumbled upon a similar guide, and i really want to use dumpframes for the reasons you specified :/

I've turned off anti-aliasing AND anisoropic filtering but screenshots still appear completely black... there must be some way to fix this?
