This is a wierd one, I have been having problems getting my ADSL Max to guage the real speed my line can take, Zen told me to power the router down for more than 15 minutes and turn back on, did this turned back on and no internet.

They tried a few things and told me to try powering down for 30 minutes and resetting the router from the back, did this when it starts the router sets itself up by auto config, the internet is on but no matter what I do I cant manually configure anything which is a pain as im trying to configure my wireless security.

What am I doing wrong or am I just being thick? :p

When you set up everything manually with the router you dont have to install the cd, on the front of the cd it says smart wizard install and manuals. The internet was turned on over xmas and a load of booze was drunk which equals no memory of how I did it last time. :D

Err im a bit confused..

What do you actually want to do?

Is it setup the router after a factor reset without the disks?

Or disconnect the internet?

Manually configure the router so I change wireless settings, I used to get a blue screen come up which had basic settings/adsl settings/wireless settings and a load more stuff, now it only comes up with some auto assisting wizard rubbish.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Right erm

Login in with Internet Explorer to 192.168.0.1 User-Admin Password-Password (unless you changed your password which you should have)
On the left side click wireless settings

Thanks for your help mate but I managed to sort it in the end, it seems if you enter the cd in the drive it sort of cuts out the manual config and just loads up the wizard all the time instead.

I switched it off and reset it again and when you type the number in the address bar the blue manual config screen comes up like before, thanks again for your time. :)
