Hi,

While I was playing eve I decided to open up the task manager, when i looked at the cpu and memory usage i was shocked to say the least. My cpu was at 100% and my memory at 700mb  . I did have quite a few things running in windows but when i switched back to windows my cpu went down to around 60%, as soon as i go back into eve it goes to 100% constantly.

I have just now started eve with nothing else running and its still reporting 100% cpu usage.

I have noticed that i have 52 odd process running which i am not happy about here is a screen shot, can you let me know what i can stop pls?

Yup, ton's of games will use 100% of the processor. Only thing I'd recommend is closing any extra programs down to free up some memory and some CPU cycles. After that I'd start getting rid of things that are being run on start up. 51 is quite

As for the RAM usage, the eve-online client suffers from a memory leak atm where eve doesnt empty the RAM when its not being used. So the amount it uses slowly creeps up over several hours, eventually slowing your game and pc to an absolute crawl till you reboot the client.

As for CPU, devs have confirmed that eve is designed to use as much cpu as you have to offer, my cpu is always at 100%

Yeah but my friend looked on his cpu usage will he was running eve plus a few other things and he was at like 60%???

Was it a pentium 4 (would the HT make it like that?) or a dual core?
