Hi guys, i have bought the following h/w from OCUK but have the strangest problem.
Foxconn X38A Digitalife Motherboard
Q6600 GO CPU
4GB G.Skill PC8000 1000mhz
320GB Hitachi Hard Drive 7200rpm
8800GT 512MB (G92)
Creative X-FI Gamer 7.1 Sound Card
Corsair HX620W Modular PSU
When I plug in the power cable and turn on the mains (not turning on the actual PC) the motherboard has an orange led light up.
Now, when I originally set it up the mobo it had a blue light and would turn on ok, but wouldn't even make it as far as BIOS and emitted a constant ringing sound. On the third attempt to power up it didn't and ever since an orange light has appeared.
I have now had OCUK replace the mobo and PSU after confirming they weren't working, however, I still have the same problem!!!
I've disconnected each component and tried powering on, attempting to narrow down where the problem might be, but even with just the mobo, PSU and cpu I still have an orange LED. Is it the CPU? even though after an hour of google most ppl suggest either mobo or psu?
Any thoughts before I call OCUK technical support?
