Howzit Guys,

I have a machine here that is a HP Dx6100M. It had to have it's Windows reinstalled. So, I formatted and reinstalled it. Loaded the sound driver all was good. Then I downloaded the Intel graphics driver off the HP website. Installed it and restarted the system.

It boots up fine, but at the Welcome screen, all I see is a black backround and the mouse cursor. In Safe Mode it is fine.

So I removed the driver and the problem stayed.

So, I formatted again and just loaded the Sound driver...

Now how can I get the video driver on without this happening again?

Any ideas? :(

Could you have not just uninstalled the driver while in safe mode?

I would suggest you have a dodgy driver, have google around, and see if there are other issues or flavours of the driver.

I did uninstall it in safe mode but the problem remind as said in the original post. ;)

Looked on Google and can't see an issues.
