Strange Problem

Hey guys

Ive currently clocked my pentium D 805 to 3.8GHZ however, if go any higher (or even sometimes lower) or play about with the voltage, my game performance seems to dip by more than half! My temps are ok (cpu: 60C load , gpu 65C load) so its not that. What could be the problem?

Pentium D 805
Evga 650i ultra
8800gts 320mb
2gb ddr 2 pc5300 ram

What is your exact RAM brand? chances are it is a failed overclock, try it in Prime95.

Could the motherboard be throttling the cpu for a reason?
