Right, my friend has a tablet pc which he used to use about 6 months ago.

He decided that because he didn't have the Tablet edition disk, he would install XP professional.

Anyway, whatever he has done to it, he can no longer use the tablet as the pen no longer works and the screen is... unusable (Pics included)

He has found his copy of tablet now and wanted me to do a fresh install of tablet for him (hoping it would fix the problems) only problem is there is no CD/DVD drive in the tablet and i dont have a external USB one.

I was going to take the hdd out and put it in my laptop and do the install that way, but i didnt realise the HDD in the tablet is IDE, i think, its a series of pins and has no seperate power, so all the data and power are through about 50/60 ish pins.

I then thought about installing the Tablet PC install on to a memory stick? Is this possible and would it work?
