strange problem

Hi
Randomly and out of the blue my pc has stopped working, it turns on and i get the asus logo and i can also access bios but it wont advance after the flashing underscore i get no message or anything. Im using a asus m3a78t mobo anything else just ask but bear with me im on my phone

try setting the bios back to default, if that does not work personally I'd pick out the battery and make sure its lost everything) considering it only takes 30 seconds..

If you have the option, try the HDD in another machine, that will confirm or eliminate the HDD.

I reset the bios nothing changed ill try the battery bit i dont have the option to swap the hard drive

Just tried a really old ide hdd it didnt boot up but it got further than last time and said start windows normally

Tried thr cmos no change the hdd is a samsung f1 spinpoint 500gb 1.5 yrs old
