Strange Problem

Anyone experienced anything like this:

I am running Windows 8.1, using a Corsair K70 keyboard.

After a while of playing BF4, I get a strange problem, when I press and release a key say "W" to go forward, I take a step forward as expected. If I press and hold the button, I will move forward but when I release it, I continue to move for a period of time. If I exit the game and type in a Word document the problem is also present, if I tap the key it responds with a letter or space ect, but if I hold the key it repeats for about double the time I had the button pressed.

If I restart Windows it runs fine, today I have used the Keyboard lots, played BF4, used keyboard again, played BF4 again ect (hours passed between), without it happening, but the third time of playing tonight in game it happened again.

Any ideas?

More of a workaround than a solution but pulling the usb lead out an popping it back in might be a quicker fix.

Open control panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center

Click "Make the keyboard easier to use".

Clear the check box "Turn on filter keys".

Click OK.

Thanks, I will try both of those suggestions, I know what unplug / re- plugging the USB will do but what does the filter keys setting do?

Tried that (during game) and it worked for about 1 minute.

Open control panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center

Click "Make the keyboard easier to use".

Clear the check box "Turn on filter keys".

Click OK.

Did that last night, problem still happening :(

pop the key off and check there's no crap clogging it or tip the keyboard upside down and thump it a few times obviously not with full force and see if any crap falls out.

or right click my computer on desktop > device manager > keyboards > right click uninstall and reboot so windows installs the driver fresh and see if that fixes it.

sometimes windows can end up showing multiple devices for the same one and possibly a driver conflict could result like right now here's mine

although it's working fine only one should be showing, I think it's from when I've changed the keyboard to a different usb port

I had 3 keyboards, so I have deleted 2 - but now my caps lock light on the keyboard is not working, gonna restart and see what happens.

Ok after unplugging the keyboard, uninstalling all 3 of them from device manager, restarting and then plugging in the keyboard - I still have 3 keyboards showing in device manager (same as the picture above - is this normal?
