Before i begin my spec is in sig
I've been playing fallout 4 and noticed my CPU temps were getting up there (75c) so i decided to downclock my cpu from 4.8ghz to 4.5ghz and drop the voltage abit to reduce temps. I've been running this overclock for the best part of 3 years everyday.
Anyway, i went into the bios to change the settings and no matter what i did it would always boot back to 4.8ghz and couldnt change it. So i decided to remove CMOS and reset the lot.
That worked but now it only picks up half of my ram. I've tested all the dimm slots which work fine and reseated the lot but 2 sticks wont even register in the bios. The other weird thing is now i cant overclock past 3.7ghz and any attempt to change any OC settings just seem to reset as i type it in.
Have i just lost 2 sticks of ram or is my mobo on the way out aswell? I've already flashed the latest firmware a few months ago.
