Strange PSU noise

Hey everyone

I have got a Corsair HX850 power supply which is making a weird-ish noise.
It's not the popular coil whine I think but it's still annoying.

Here are 2 noise samples (sorry about mic quality)

Do you think it's a cause for RMA? :confused:

I think it might be a capacitor...
An interesting thing is that if I plug this unit to a battery powered UPS, it makes a louder, more annoying version of that noise which is just the same as the one coming from the UPS when it's not plugged to mains.

Any suggestions welcome...

I would RMA it just in case!

You don't want it blowing and taking your system away with it do you?

Yeah, it's gone now. I RMA'd it already.

I just wanted people's opinions so I know I'm doing the right thing...

Well, hope the new one is better (just worry it might have other faults)...

I can't hear anything, apart from what sounds like a microphone being moved about. Or is that the noise?

Edit: Just heard the YT sample, and that sounds like a fan rubbing against something to me. Does it stop if you stop the fan with a pen or something?

Nah, the PSU had fanless operation at low loads... so it can't be the fan.

Unless there was another, smaller fan...
