I have a Corsair CX750 at the moment which I bought new in 2013.

A few days ago, my PC suddenly became extremely sluggish i.e. struggle to open Chrome. It is also intermittent. Task manager having high CPU usage on System interrupts while it happens so suspect it's a hardware problem somewhere, started pulling things out to test.

At the end, it came down to the PSU as I notice a high pitch whining noise when it become sluggish and the noise comes from the PSU. What I did then is to unplug it and plug it back in and it seem to have gone away.

I am not happy with it and don't want to risk compromising the rest of the system so think it's time for a new one. That is unless you think it is still OK?

My PC spec is as follow:
Very old Coolermaster Black Widow case (could upgrade at the same time if it opens up option)
Vishera FX-6300 @ 4.5Ghz on Gigabyte GA-970A (again very old but still reasonably capable)
2X 4Gb DDR3
PNY GeForce GTX760 2Gb
Samsung 850 EVO 250Gb SSD
Kingston 128Gb SSD
OCZ Vertex2 128Gb SSD
WD 1Tb Hard Drives
4 Port Fan controller running 4X Artic F8-80mm fans and Artic Freezer 7 pro cooler the CPU

I want the PSU to be future proof and budget is up to £100 as PSU for me usually last me several upgrades.

Thank you for youe help
