If I turn it on but don't change the channel over for it,it won't actually start loading up.Meaning it isn't til I turn it over that the 360 logo will come up and it goes to the dashboard. It just stays in a weird standby mode.
It's not til I turn it over(it's connected via HDMI) that it loads up.And If I turn the channel over it basically resets itself.
I have a panasonic viera plasma and it's only done it with this TV.
Does anybody know how to fix this? It's very annoying because if I want to download something I have to keep it on the 360 channel or it'll just reset itself.

It's to do with HDMI 'handshaking', it can't be 'fixed' as it's part of the way HDMI works on the 360, at least with Panasonics it certainly is as i have the same issue.

The whole not turning on properly till it's on the HDMI input makes sense really. I mean why would you turn the xbox on headless, so to speak.

I can understand changing channel once it's already on, not sure why that's causing yours to reset though.

Same thing used to happen on my Panasonic LCD. No fix afaik.

I use component for my wii.Ah well.I'll just have to live with it.At least I know it isn't just my xbox being funny.

Do you mean the not turning on or the resetting?

Also an alternative fix would just be to use the component video cable.

Actually I misread it, Mine did not turn the 360 on fully until I switched to the correct Av channel, but I had no resetting problems if I subsequently changed channels.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at, I see the turning on thing as a useful feature. Does it with my Toshiba. I've not had it reset on me if I change the channel once it's fully on though.

Owwww, i misread it too, same, doesn't switch on until on the correct channel but the resetting thing doesn't happen to me.

I have the same on my Toshiba lcd but doesn't reset if i turn the tv off or change channel. First happend to me when I got the TV thought the Xbox had broke.
