I just got a New Ipad air2 for a present and found out recently due to a gas service and me using the there app to give meter reading I had built up £26 on Nectar.
So I get the Card and transfer the points from the energy supplier to the card. Just over £26. So think great I’ll get a £25 i-tunes voucher for putting app on the new ipad. Walking in to find they only let you spend £2.50 at a time.
Found out Homebase does this
Spending points
1. Nectar points cannot be used to purchase goods over the phone or via the Homebase website. Points are redeemable in UK stores only.* Nectar points can not be redeemed on items with a Trade Card, Crocus, Homebase Spare, items from concession stores within Homebase, or when hiring items from the hire station.
2. The minimum points redemption requirement is 2000 points (£10).
So they take the full card I take it? I can spend £26 if I want instore?
So thinking homebase sell Argos £25 gift cards, Argos in turn sell £25 I-tunes vouchers.
Anyone think I can walk in get a Argos Gift card £25 and then walk into a Argos and get a itunes voucher for the same amount?.
Or Argos says
*Every 500 points = £2.50 off your total; top up the rest with cash or credit/debit card. But it does say Swipe your Nectar card at the till to redeem 500 points or morePay any remaining balance with cash or card
https://www.nectar.com/ways-to-redeem/rewards/argosThere are over 33,000 products from which to choose online, in-store, by phone, or uniquely, through Argos TV. Benefits. Every 500 Nectar points you redeem is £2.50 off your total, which means more money to spend on the goods you want.
We dont shop in Sainsburys or I'd just run it down every shop . Kind of feel its free money I can chuck on the ipad for paid Apps and get some use out the points.
So can i walk in and say to the check out person take 5000 points off please.
Anyone got any experience of this?
