This is the memory i'm using: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-095-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=&name=Corsair%202GB%20DDR2%20XMS2-5400C4%20TwinX%20(2x1GB)
stated as having a 667MHz RAM speed, i went into my bios just to look about and noticed the bios said it was running at 266MHz. when i tried to changed it up to it's correct speed, my motherboard didn't have the 667MHz as an option so i put it up to 5**. but after i saved the settings and tried to boot back into windows the computer rebooted at the windows load screen.
If the RAM is running at 400MHz slower than it should does that mean the motherboard isn't up to it??
On this motherboard:http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=ALiveSATA2-GLAN&s=AM2
other hardware
9600GT 512MB
AMD Athlon 6400+ 3.2GHz
3x DVD rewriters
1x BluRay
