Strange Request

I'm not sure if any of you lot can help, but I'm after an interesting / aesthetically pleasing image which I can use as a background for something I'm doing. The reason I ask is that I'm not having much luck in finding any.

Basically, what I'm currently after is a high-resoulution image of something which represents mining in apartheid South Africa, so something like gold/diamond mines or apartheid itself. Even old photographs would be fantastic.

If anyone knows of any sites with images which may help, they would be awesome too.

No worries.

I might add that anything artistic or w/e would be bang on. Does anyone know anywhere I can have a look for such images?

I kinda need something like but in a much, much higher res.
