I have this motherboard, the 1.0 revision. For a while I have had a strange RGB issue with it and aside from thinking "RGB Fusion is pants" I've not done anything more with it.

I have the RGB setup through the BIOS, on a static colour for all RGB headers and RGB points on the board. In general, it works fine, however the issue I have is that the small strip on top of the heatsink by the rear I/O shield doesn't light up at all.

I've tried everything I can think of - reset the BIOS, pulled the mains power for an extended period (overnight) tried disabling then re-enabling the RGB - nothing seems to make a difference. I also tried installing RGB Fusion in Windows - didn't make any difference either.

I don't think it's the LEDs themselves as they have lit up on occasion intermittently. The board is fully functional otherwise and out of warranty, so if it were to end up being a physical fault with the LED then I will live without RGB.

Has anyone else with a Gigabyte board had a similar issue?

Could it be a loose connection? I'm not sure how that part of the board would be powered, or where to look for a wire.
