Strange Sound Problem

Hi, booted up my computer today and everything sounds like its in a hall. Even Windows alerts and Messenger etc etc etc you get the picture. As if the equalizer setting is set to "hall" or "live" or whatever.

Anyways how do i get it back to normal because its a pain in the ass when trying to watch movies? Is it possible some media software although not currently open is having an affect?

I am also using SB Live! Was just looking through all my audio settings and theres no option for an effects such as the one im getting but I'll try rebooting... *fingers crossed*

Turns out it was Windows Live! Messenger Beta whatever. Shame, but atleast I can now watch movies without feeling like I'm in a shopping centre
