Strange SP2 Problem

Just installed SP2 after getting a new PC and im having issues with my mouse. After SP2 had finished installing, small movements with my mouse (g5) go unreckognised in windows and in games. Ive just uninstalled it and everythings fine again? I tried using my old mouse from my old pc (which had sp2 on) and the same thing happened (yet this didnt happen on my old pc!)

Any ideas?
 
Yes its a Logitech g5

Its not that its not being recognised by windows or games, it is, its just small movements i make go unnoticed, ie if im slowly moving it across and slightly down, it will only go across and not down. This is without the Logitech mouse software, but with the firmware update (1.2)

Now im back on SP1 its working fine
 
Sorry for the late reply!

Im running standard XP Pro (I assume its 32bit), ive tried google searches and the likes but nothing really comes up. Ill try reinstalling it tomorrow and see if its any different.

Its not that the mouse doesnt work or doesnt respond, it does and for the average user itd be fine, but i play online professionally and i can definately tell that something isnt right.

Id be happy to just use SP1 but id rather have my pc fully upto date, especially with it being a new one!

using a qpad large

it cant be anything to do with it not working with the mousemat surely when its working perfectly fine on SP1 but not SP2??

ill try reinstalling it tonight
