Strange temperature behaviour

Hey, I am getting some strange temperature behaviour from my computer.

I'll explain with a screenshot,

Watching Youtube on monitor 2 and playing a game on monitor 1 my cpu temps reaching 65'c but if i give my computer a physical whack(red lines in screenshot), the temperatures drop by 10'c-15'c. I have no idea why. Any ideas?
(posting in water cooling board because i have a h100igtx)

Sounds like your pump is stopping. I once noticed my fans ramp up, saw temps at 80° (53°C absolute max normally).

Realised the pump stopped - popped the panel and moved it to another Molex connector, temps dropped to 30s immediately.

The water in the blocks heats up and this protects the chips a little, but not a lot of energy is stored. So as soon as the water moves it averages down to the ambient water temp.

Do you have a speed reading for your pump?

its going at 2800rpm - 2950rpm, after a whack. didn't check before. I thought it was a pump issue, like it needs a jolt to jump start it.
