I was just playing GTA and i noticed my CPU temps were higher than normal so i shut it down started up hwinfo and real bench and its showing my core 0,1,2 maxing at about 75 degrees and core 3 maxing at 50 degrees.

In the past the CPU temp used to be about 50 degrees and 60 once the gpus had heated up the loop a bit so im guessing something has changed.

All i can think of is maybe when ive been changing a cable out recently, ive knocked the PC a bit hard and the waterblock has moved a little on the IHS causing it to rise onto the small ridge of cured liquid pro around the IHS as im running delidded using only liquid pro all around.

Any other ideas before i start stripping it down? the piping config is a pain so i really dont wanna strip it if i dont have to.

Ta.

You running your CPU overclocked?

If so, how much?

When you say waterblock. What cooler are you running? Theres a big difference between a h80 and a well designed custom loop.

EDIT, looks like custom. Sounds like you nudged the block causing a bad contact, either that or you rads are clogged with dust.

I definitely havent nudged my block, i havent been in it for months thought it was odd the temps on one core just changing like that. Ah well, cause the only way to know whats happened is to strip it all down, will give me a chance to try that nail vanish trick i saw on the forums a while back under the IHS at least.
