Strange TFT issue??

Hi

I have a problem with my TFT and I was wondering if someone could help me

Let me start by saying my setup:

Samsung 206BW 20" Widescreen 2ms TFT
BFG OC2 8800 GTS
Intel Duo E6500 @ 3ghz
2gb Geil Ultra Low Latency Ram
300gb Western Digital (i think) Sata 2 HDD

Right now the problem. When playing games I am experiencing quite a bit of ghosting and some tears now and then on my monitor. The game I play the majority of the time is TF2 so as you can imagine it is quite annoying when it happens. I am playing in quite a resonable resolution and my fps is always constant, limited to 125 but can easily get more.

It seems to be ghosting more then I would think for a 2ms response TFT. It does bleed light around the top and bottom centre, I am not sure if this really effects anything at all though.

I have tried updating GFX driver and Monitor driver and thus far no luck. I am not sure whether it is my setup , the game(s) or a faulty monitor of sort.

Anyone got any ideas? All help appreciated in advance

This issue was actually for me, anyone got any ideas?

I was thinking it could be related to my Gfx Card - only 320mb, able to power the 20" ?

Try forcing vsync on. Inside your nvidia control panel = vsync force on

tried and didnt resolve the ghosting and limits to 75fps (i think that was refresh rate, maybe 60)

Any other ideas ?

It seems to ghost in all games, not just HL2 ...

I now have a HD 4870 on Vista 64 Ultimate.

This has not resolved my issue and the screen tears quite a bit a still.

Should I just expect this from a TFT or does anyone think they might know the cause?

Bump...

Really stuck for ideas, it is hardly noticable (if its even there) in CS:Source (i realise this is a slower game) but it just annoys me in TF2 ...all ideas appreciated!

Mods - I dont suppose you could move this to Graphics Card forum / General ...I have no idea of the cause now.
