I have a Circular Polariser for my cokin kit and i find it strange when i move it round nothing alters in which I though should?

Or is this a common problem with cokin ones rather than screw on ones to lens?

What are you pointing it at?

I'm guessing you don't understand about polarisation at a scientific level?

Wait till tomorrow, then frame up a shot with some sky in it or some sunlight reflections (like a car windscreen) and then see what happens when you turn it round.

What I know is that it to cut down reflection as you move it it should alter the relection like off water and the like am i right?

But this afternoon looking through a mate Cam who got a Hoya Polariser when i turned it and looking through the eye peice the picture got darker or lighter mine does not do that. But Mine does stop reflection.

A circ pol works best at 90 degrees to the direction of the sunlight.... So if the sun is due south (ie midday), pointing your camera due east or west, and rotating the polariser is most effective. Most noticable with fluffy clouds and blue skies....
