Hello,

This has been doing my head in.

I have two pc's in my office to run my business and when my wife gets up from the desk the monitor goes black then comes back on as she walks towards it ?

Now its not a problem apart from I cant find a reason for the monitor to do this.

Can anyone shed some light on this ?

Thanks

Wrong forum mate ;)

In all seriousness, some monitors have a feature that turns off the screen when you get up from it :)

Which model is it?

This.

Or.. bad connection somewhere.

Or... that metal in her body is interfering with the monitor because shes a TERMINATOR. run. Now.

Probably not that last one though.

Well its a Asus ROG Swift PG27VQ.
I looked in the OSD couldn't see any options for sensors ?
Ive got new cables from OC and the monitor is wall mounted.

Can’t see anything in the user manual for the Pg27VQ, are you sure it’s that model? Only other suggestion is to make sure it’s running at native resolution and a supported resfresh rate. Maybe disable overclocking mode in the osd menu if that’s currently being used. Maybe try a different cable or connection type from pc to monitor

But if it only behaves like this when she leaves monitor alone, then comes back on when she’s back it sounds exactly like a human motion sensor feature!

you sure its not because the mouse is waking the monitor on. So when she walks it the mouse moves slightly and wakes up the monitor via power settings

I recently upgraded the office setup. 2" core hole through the wall into the cupboard under the stairs and bought a new cable. Put the PCs under the stairs and got a button key ring thingy to boot them up. So its all new cables etc. I was just talking to the wife and she was sitting in front of the other monitor an ASUS PG348Q and it did the same thing !!!

Its not a problem I just don't know why its doing it. OH concrete floor as well
