Hey peeps, just a quick one.

When I bought my system I chose the Geil Black Dragon 6gb (3x2) 1600mhz as it looked awesome and heard nothing but excelent things. And it's true! It's fantastic!

But...

I've since realised that the timings 8-8-8-28 and the voltage 1.65V are extremely unusual!

This is a problem as for some odd reason these sticks are now very hard to get hold of!!!

Am I right in thinking I will need to try and get hold of some identical?

Most out there is 8-8-8-24 and 1.55/1.60V... so I would think they are not compatible?

I'm kinda regretting my purchase now :(

So any ideas? Sorry, I'm still learning. I know it has to be similar to avoid problems and to stop one set being dragged down to another level. But when it comes to timings and voltage I'm pretty lost :S

I guess I'd need to learn how. Will look into it.

Wouldn't the OC be affected by having 2 different types of RAM though? If, for example, I had to increase V to OC the geil wouldn't that overpower the other that I'm trying to match?
