My housemate last year spilt a glass of water over the trackpad on my MBP and immediately it was useless. I bought a mouse and have been using it since.
I tried to use it recently and for some reason when the laptop is cold it is largely unresponsive and thinks I am clicking on things when I'm not. However, once my laptop is warmed up it works flawlessly. I can tell it's not as sharp as it used to be but it works!
I appreciate this problem can't be fixed I'm merely curious as to why the temperature affects the trackpad operation.
