Strange Vcore2 readings

Following on from my CPU thread (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17988780 ), I've noticed in speedfan that my Vcore2 is all over the shop! Goes as low as 1V and can peak at 3V. Quick bit of googling and it seems that Vcore2 is the RAM.

Motherboard problem?

I've already updated the BIOS to the latest version so I can't update any further.

As far as running stable... yea as long as I don't put it to 100% load. When I do, the system locks up completely after a few minutes and I have to hold down the power button to turn it off.

Well, it doesn't work and thats part of the problem

If the Asus boards report it a bit funny then I'm fine with that, but the system isn't working properly and is now unusable as I get screen lock-ups under load.

Screen lock up are usually associated with RAM or motherboard memory controller. Try running memtest, if memtest passes, chances are you need mroe NB volts.

I'm pretty sure that with an AMD chip, the memory controller is built in so there is no motherboard memory controller.

I've ran memtest of the RAM for 1 hour with 2 passes yet the system still has problems. Everything is at stock and there's no option in the BIOS to change the NB settings.
