Strange Vista internet Problem....

today i moved back to my parents for a couple of weeks in between going to a new flat etc...

before i was on a wireless internet connection and everything worked fine, but i have come home and plugged the ethernet in as no wireless network. Since then my computer has gone awol! The microsoft problem solver program crashes on start up, whenever i open a program and then close it the problem solver thing comes up again, i have no internet connect but have an ipaddress and can see the router and the printer in the control panel, network discovery bit but cant connect to the router through the web configeration either.

Am a bit stumped! any suggestions....

Where has your computer gone? Do you know?????

Is your router configured for DHCP? If not you will have to assign your computer with an IP address (IP, Gateway, DNS & Subnet mask)

yep, router is configured correctly as other pc's and printer are using it fine with all set to fetch settings from the main router......

am just about to do a system restore.....
