I was just watching some video on Microsoft about Surface, and then all of a sudden I got a bsod, and when it came back on AVG cannot start, and when I click on start> program files, I have to go through another folder called "Program Files and Fast Items" which wasn't there before....

I get strange vista problems too, I must have re-installed vista 5 times over the weekend, Avg would not start up and it seems to of lost all my pictures and some folders, when I install some programs the shortcuts stop working for no reason and the exe files disappear!
Im really tempted to go back to xp and wait for sp1.

I was having a similar problem where after a while I could not access the vista control panel or welcome ctre. The inbuilt games wouldn't work as well.
Can I just ask are you using nvidia drivers?
