Im pushing my Q6600 as far as i can, i'm willing to go as far as 1.55v (windows) as long as my temps are below 75deg .

Anyway at the moment i'm 10hrs stable at 3510mhz.

When i try 3600 i get bsod after a few seconds of being in windows so i tried upping the voltage to 1.6 in bios, when i got in windows i found my vcore was the same as when it was set to 1.525, strange i though so then i thought i'll just test it at 1.7:cool: just to see if it changes or stays 1.5v....

It didn't even post!

So is my mobo saying my voltage is too high and trying to control them.

I just can't understand what is going on, almost like it's taking control.

Ten hours p-stable at 3510 is damn good, another 90mhz shouldn't cause a rapid bsod...

Some boards have stability 'holes' in the fsb, try pushing on up past 400 (assuming 400x8)
Have you tried upping the fsb volts? 4gb RAM requires a bit more juice through the nb as well, try bumping that.

Regarding the vdroop (or drop, can never remember lol) is there an option in your BIOS to enable loadline calibration? Try that, but doubt I'm being much help!

Heres a screenie...

Sorry its 3500mhz not 3510mhz, i don't have load line calibration or anything although it would be nice :)

I can boot in at 3600 and even bench at 3700 but can't understand the voltage not increasing in windows.

I'm going to run a little test now..

At the moment im at the following...

Bios..............Windows............Load

1.525...............1.496............1.432

I'm now going to try 1.585 in bios

Results

just rebooting :)

Bios..............Windows............Load

1.585...............1.560............1.472

Now i'm getting some where, now to try 3600 and small fft's.

Ok i'm 5 mins in at 3600mhz @ 1.472 load in windows, temps were creeping upto 72 deg so ive taken the side cover off to control the temps which are now at 62/62/66/67 but my pwm tep is at 115 deg.

Is there a pencil mod or anything for the Abit IP35 to stop v-droop?
