Just a heads up I am using Kodi.
Today I received my 5m Optical Cable to connect my motherboard to my receiver and I have noticed something odd, the volume controls on my keyboard no longer work.
I can mute and unmute the sound but when it comes to increasing or decreasing volume it wont let me and when using DTS feeds it says "Passthrough Audio In Use" when I press the + and - keys to reduce sound through Kodi itself rather than the whole operating system which the volume controls on keyboard do.
If I turn off passthrough it will work fine again but I lose the blue light to indicate the sound is going through properly for DTS audio.
First time using optical output so am I doing something stupid or is this how it is through an optical signal ?
