Probably just me being a complete noob but my winamp Now Playing page won't change from this stupid search thing. Hillarious thing is, I didn't click anything to run this in the first place so i'm wondering a) how it got there and b) why it wont go away.

Like I said, probably just me being a colossal failure and not noticing a button, buts its damn annoying when i can't even open my Now Playing screen to view my tracks.

The wallpaper doesn't make me laugh, I've no clue what its about.

If I were Mr OP I'd go to Winamp Preferences then look at either General Purpose or Media Library under the Plugins at the bottom. You should see a Now Playing.dll plugin or similar. Uninstall it and restart Winamp. Problemo solved. :)

Mr OP tried that and it worked :D Had to delete both Now Playing and Dashboard and it worked, turns out Winamp has been installing things without my permission which seems quite naughty. Might start looking for a new player.

Good stuff. And have you done the customised install? If not then it installs everything.

Ah right. :)

Yeah, just wiped & re-installed it. Custom this time, though I could have sworn I did that last time. Oh well, if it pops up again I now know what to do!

Yeah I always do a custom install of Winamp. There is a fair amount of stuff I don't use so no point in installing it.

Have to say I'm open to finding a new media player for my music. I used to use Winamp for CD ripping but no more, EAC a la Bledd for that. So as long as it has a library feature I'm happy. And that doesn't include Winamp Lite OK bledd. ;)
