Strange Windows 7 64bit Start menu blury/half Black! please Help

Hello Guys,

I got a really strange error that I cant seem to fix..

has anyone had this before, I have just upgraded my graphics card to a 980ti and downgraded to Windows 7 64bit..

Without Visual Aero Effect

With Aero

Please Help!

Why isn't your start menu in the bottom left?

Looks like you've been hacking Explorer/Start menu.

i am currently using 3 monitors.. the screenshot was taken from the middle monitor where the start menu is..

i have enabled surround with Nvidia graphics.

the side monitors do not have a task bar

Latest nvidia driver?
Removed previous driver with DDU?
sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt ?

done Scannow in CMD...

no problems detected...

using latest version of Nvidia's drivers and did a fresh install..

It's not blurry, it's a transparency effect.

Indeed - what is the issue?

The before image shows aero off (no transparency in the toolbars etc) and the after image shows aero on (transparency on.)

i decided to install windows 10 again.. i dont have the issue with the start menu now.. i asked around a number of forums but no one had any anwsers! it was bugging me!
