Strange Windows 7 Install Problems

OK, I've had Windows 7 beta 64 bit fully working on the same machine in the same configuration (Triple Boot with Vista and XP) before I swapped out the hard disk drives to put some new ones in.

Now when it installs, the Windows XP partition vanishes from 7 and XP cannot find the ntldr when it tries to boot. I can fix this by copying over the three xp boot files, via vista, but I want to be able to see my xp drive in 7 as well.

It's odd, because Vista can see all three partitions (plus the other two hard disks) fine, but 7 cannot see the xp partition. Also, Windows 7 will not allow me to uninstall it's own MS Video card drivers, so I cannot get the nvidia ones on (which is a problem as my second screen is off centre with those drivers). They refuse to install for some reason over the top and the original ones wont let me uninstall them (they reinstall themselves when this happens before I have a chance to act)

My laptop always had the same issue with the vanishing xp partition (don't have Vista on there) as well with the 32 bit version of 7, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Well, I fixed the first issue by deleting the 7 install, and reinstalling from Windows Vista.

I fixed the video drivers issue by physically deleting the MS drivers on the hard disk to stop them from being installed, then ran the nvidia program.

I'd still like to be able to see xp installs in future though from a BIOS installed (booting to setup) version of Windows 7 so help/ideas would be nice.

Why is it that when I have a question, no one on here seems to be able to answer it? They boring or just hard? Or am I unpopular? :(
