Just upgraded to Windows 7 and am having a bizarre issue.

Everything is working fine apart from occasionally I'm having random internet drop outs. I've eliminated the fact that its my ISP because firstly I can ping from command prompt and secondly I can browse the internet fine on my iPhone using WiFi. But I can't access any sites in Google/Chrome for a few moments and then it sorts itself out.

Never had any issues like this on Vista, I'm connecting using Ethernet and a Realtek ethernet port, have updated, rolled back and re updated drivers for this and having the same issues again.

Anyone got any other ideas? Firewall has been deactivated and my AntiVirus has been deactivated too.

Check your event viewer for any warnings or errors involving your ethernet or networking. Type in Event Viewer in the Start Menu search box.

The System and Application logs will be the best place to start looking. They are all time stamped so you should be able to pinpoint the logs from around the last time things acted up.

Thanks Siriuis, tried having a look but couldn't notice anything untoward.

I've just totally uninstalled Nod32 Internet Security and that seems to have fixed it. Going to go back to Nod32 AntiVirus, thought the Internet Security was worth a poke but alas it's caused more problems than it's solved.

Hopefully this is the end of my problems!
