Strange..

Hey guys got a real strange problem for you to ponder over;
I built my own pc last week and couldnt get it to post, i tried 2 different monitors plugged in, 2 different cables and stilll couldnt get any signal on the screen. After much playing i decided to take it into my local shop and ask them to have a look, they have just rang me up to say they got it to boot first time and signal was displayed on their monitor :confused:

any ideas???

Maybe something was not plugged in correctly and during the transport it just went into place.

Really difficult to say what it was.

Did they use your kettle lead to boot the system?

Did you try a different socket, extension cable etc when you were testing at home?

Or as hinted in the above post - the MB may have been loose or connector/cable and it was shorting - but in the process of transport to the shop it's corrected itself. When you get it back i would check all your connections (reseat hardware and connectors) and that the MB is securley fitted to the risers.

thanks for the quick replies, it was a bumpy ride to get there so prehaps something got jolted into place. Ill give it a good look over later when i get back eeeee cant wait!!!
