Strangeness with VX922

Since getting a VX922, I have occasionally noticed a visual fluctuation that moves across the screen, it's a bit like rapidly moving waves. It has come and gone since I've owned the screen, but it's been there all day today.
It is very subtle and may be invisible to some, but on a plain blue background I find it distracting.
It happens on both dvi and vga, and also on another PC. The speed of the fluctuation changes depending on the desktop refresh rate and is worse at 60Hz.
Could this be an RMA jobbie?

Cheers

I had this on my new viewsonic va2012w-2. The waves weren't moving, they were stationary. the troughs and peaks altered the focus .. so i had alternating lines of blurryness.

turns out i had the refresh on 75mhz, so i put it down to 60mhz and suddenly they were gone.

my vx922 is picture perfect on 60hz OR 75mhz.

Since the symptoms are similar, i'd say it's something to do with the refresh, especially since you say it's worse at once frequency than the other.

You might want to consider RMA'ing it. I phoned viewsonic (the input switching button broke) on a Monday and had a swap on the doorstep by thursday all free of charge.

Out of interest, I do have an Nvidia card, so firegod, what where you going to say about them ?

Oh, basically mate I had this issue and in the Nvidia CP if you switch it from letting the "nVidia Card" handling the scaling to "display adaptor" it fixed the problem. My refresh rate was/is already at 60Mhz so I was worried the display was on it's last legs. However, after changing that one setting the lines dissappeared in front of my eyes and have never been back. :)

I'm not saying it'll work for everyone, but seems odd how it seems to be people with nVidia cards and similar symptoms.

:)
