This game is about 12.45 GB in size so cant be all that bad lol.

* Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista
* Dual Core Processor
* 2.0 GB RAM
* 15.0 GB free hard disk space (Stranglehold requires 50GB of free hard disk space during the installation process but, once installed, the setup files can be removed or stored elsewhere. If installing to a secondary drive, your system's primary drive requires 20GB of free hard disk space during the installation process.)
* NVIDIA GeForce 7800 or higher, ATI X1300 or higher
* DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
* DirectX 9.0c (included)
* Broadband Internet connection required for online play

so how does it require 50 gigs when once the game is installed and the temp files and installer files are removed it ends up at 15gigs installed on drive?
someone is flapping it see..... what drive you got ? a 36 gig raptor? ;)

Well basically if you have anything under a 60GB HDD and Windows/Office and a few programs installed, you wont install this game as of lack of space, if it needs 50GB temporary then it needs it.

The game is on 2 dual layered DVD's!! Ive never seen a PC game that big before. What did these guys do, port the PS3 version instead of the 360 version?!?!!?

What the hell?! That's huge, and from the demo it didn't seem particularly impressive, in terms of gameplay, graphics, sound...or anything, for that matter.

Felt like a blatant console port though, so I bet that has something to do with it.

From what I have read its only the DirectDownload version that requires so much space. Cant link to anything as its all from naughty places. What I cant understand is the 360 version is 7GB and the PC 12.5GB, what requires so much extra space? High res textures? Must be blooming high res!

Not true m8, A certain site with "Rainforest" as the name is where I have ordered mines from, it will arrive on my birthday 28th, I have asked if its multiple DVD's, they got back saying yes.

I aint sure if its 3x DVD5's or 2x DVD9's though, I should have asked a bit more specific.

There is also special editions avail with the movie Hard Bolied inc.

I also do not think the final Pc game will be as bad as the demo, there should be proper settings for Video/Audio, and they claim it uses a massive Physics engine.

Well, thats got to write off most laptop users then ?
Its amazing how big games are growing, seems the HDD space required is going up exponentially.

Sauce for the ridiculous info please.

BTW m8, My info is 100% FACT, I dont make things up but can be wrong at times, I have preordered the game and I think it is out already in USA as I posted about it the day it shipped but unsure if for sale in stores till 21st (today) for US but its 100% the 28th for EU. (arrives on my birthday).
